A gym with two locations had worked with cleaning companies for years and was not satisfied with their reliability. In 2025 a scrubber robot (CC1) was added that starts every night, vacuums, scrubs and mops, and changes fresh and dirty water on its own.
For the operator one thing mattered most: the gym is clean in the morning, even when a cleaner is absent. The robot cannot reach between closely spaced machines; a person still has to clean there.
We could not confirm the savings cited in the original article. How much a robot saves in a gym depends on the floor area and the layout. On small floors it mainly brings reliability.
How we clean gyms and sports halls today
Since then our robots have been cleaning gyms and sports halls for other customers, and the figures come from Robonnement OS instead of estimates. A gym chain in the Geneva region, a different customer, has robots clean the floors of four gyms every day.
