Plastics paint shop for medical technology in the Black Forest-Baar district

One month after arrival, the plant produces with the robot

Running since September 2026 Anonymous case: we name the industry and the place, not the customer.

Before

At every spray wall, one person stood and sprayed all day.

After

The robot paints on a carousel, handed over on September 11, 2026, with room for a second robot.

A painting robot stands in front of a paint booth, surrounded by the arms of a rotary carousel for the parts.

The situation

A mid-sized company: plastic parts for medical technology in batch sizes of 5 to 200. At each of the roughly four spray walls, a person stood spraying all day. The owner decided after visiting one of our systems.

What we built

A self-learning Lesta robot with a four-arm carousel and a turning unit. Plus a 2K supply with four independent circuits and two servo-driven gear dosing pumps, flushing, fencing and light curtains. We pre-built the application system in Altstätten to keep the time on site short. Together with the customer we moved the layout by 400 mm to leave room for a second robot.

The result

First day on site on August 10, 2026, programming on September 3 and 4, training from September 8, handover on September 11, 2026. The customer’s goal for later: one person runs two cells.

Why it matters

From the first day on site to production in one month, with 2K and room for the second cell.
