The situation
A job paint shop with several booths paints for the automotive, rail, machine-building and medical technology industries. Painters are hard to find, the booths run in shifts, and there is no spare room.
What we built
A Lesta robot with a carousel in an existing booth. Pre-assembled in our workshop: new arm plates, centered carousel arms, motors for axes 7 and 8. When we arrived on site on January 26, 2026, the booth door stood exactly where the light barriers were planned; the customer put up a wall. Since March 2026 a second robot also sweeps the hall floors.
Built with
- Lesta MV A6 painting robot
- Carousel with driven axes 7 and 8
- Light barriers and light curtain
- Pressure tank
- PUDU MT1 for the hall floors
The result
One week after arrival, the first test program ran (February 2, 2026), and on February 13, 2026, the project was complete, without interrupting production. At the maintenance visit in July 2026 the robot was in very good condition.
Why it matters
From the first screw to the painted part in four weeks, and production kept running.
