Agricultural machinery maker in the Osnabrück region

Two cameras see where the part really hangs

Running since 2022 Anonymous case: we name the industry and the place, not the customer.

Before

Coating was done by hand, standing under large parts that never hang quite the same way.

After

The coater decides, the robots do the repetitions, since 2022.

The arm of a ceiling-mounted painting robot reaches diagonally into a paint booth with a grating floor.

The situation

Large agricultural machinery parts hang on six-meter hangers, and no part hangs exactly like the one before. Coating was done by hand, standing under the parts.

What we built

A powder system with two overhead robots on lifting axes, built together with a partner. Two cameras measure where the part actually hangs, and our software shifts the taught program accordingly. For a rough color change, air nozzles blow down a large part of the booth, without anyone having to go inside.

Built with

The result

In operation since 2022, one of our first systems in Germany. The coater stays at the booth and decides, the robots do the repetitions. In August 2026 we calibrated the system with a fixture the customer built himself and fine-tuned the collision detection.

Why it matters

Cameras and software make up for what is never quite the same when parts are hung.
