The situation

A new project with more than 1,000 parts a month that must be painted very evenly. The 2K process is strict: scales, barcode, induction time, pot life and viscosity are all recorded. Until then everything was painted by hand.

What we built

A Lesta robot with a carousel and paint supply, a gun for round and flat spray patterns and a cup adapter like on the hand gun. Installation from April 1 to 3, 2025, consoles tested on April 14, first run on April 16, 2025.

The result

On April 29, 2025, the system was fully operational, four weeks after installation began. Since then the robot has been painting aerospace parts in series.

Why it matters

Aerospace demands repeatability, exactly the strength of a robot that learns from the best painter.
