A cleaning robot cleans the floor of a sports hall and leaves wet tracks behind.

Cleaning robots on subscription Clean floors every morning, without a night shift for your team.

Our cleaning robots take over the large, recurring floors: in sports halls, clinics, schools, production and logistics. Your team takes care of the details your customers see. And every morning you see what has been cleaned.

The work

What changes for your team

Before

At night, your team pushes machines across the halls.

After

The robot takes the large floors. Your team takes corners, stairs, restrooms and your customers’ requests.

And it looks after the robot: empty the tanks, clean the brushes. That takes minutes and decides the result.

From our sites

Large floors, cleaned every night: two sites in detail.

What it was like before, what we built, including what did not go right at first, and where things stand today.

A cleaning robot stands on the wooden floor of a large staff restaurant between tables and chairs.
Starting point
Large areas in technical buildings and in the restaurant, cleaned at night and outside working hours. Access only with a badge, and the robots were to clean closer to the walls.
What we did
Public tender won, on-site test in September 2025. Two sweepers from March, two scrubbers from April 2026, with their own maps, zones and night schedules and their own settings for the special restaurant floor. Every month we evaluate the runs per zone and adjust edge routes and schedules.
Result
After the summer, CERN asked us to extend the robots’ working areas. Since September 2026, floor after floor has been added.

A cleaning robot cleans the granite floor of a tall entrance hall with marble columns.
Starting point
Historic marble and stone floors, metal guidance strips for blind people, an assembly hall, large windows and a sloping floor.
What we did
Through a Geneva cleaning company. When the robot lost its way on the sloping floor, we remapped the halls on site in two days: ceiling markers, laser map, white brushes for the marble, edge detection switched off on the guidance strips.
Result
This became our mapping protocol, which now applies to every installation. A new contract followed in September 2026.

What our fleet delivers

Robonnement OS records every run: area, duration, finished or not. The telemetry starts in December 2025.

  • More than 10 million m²

Honest math

What does a cleaning robot cost on subscription?

A cleaning robot costs the same every month. Whether it pays off depends on how much floor it takes off your team every day. We tell you before the contract.

  • From about 1,000 m²

of floor per working day, a robot pays off. Below that, it mainly brings a clean floor every morning.

    Source: Robonnement OS, September 2026

  • 45 to 120 hours

of manual cleaning per month is what one robot equals on large floors.

  1. Large floors

    It pays off.

Sports halls, schools, clinics, production, logistics: the same large area every day. There, the hours the robot takes over are worth more than its monthly fee.

For example Municipal sports hall in Basel Cantonal school in Thurgau Transport company near Wil Measuring instrument maker in eastern Switzerland

  2. Medium floors

    It depends on your numbers.

How often do you clean, what does an hour cost you, who does it today? On a walkthrough we work it out with your numbers.

  3. Small floors

It saves few hours. It brings reliability.

Hotels, restaurants, small studios: the robot cleans reliably every day, but the area is too small to save many hours. For some customers that is exactly what matters. We say so beforehand.

For example Hotel on Lake Lucerne

For cleaning companies

More floor area with the same team.

The robots take over the large, recurring floor areas. Your team takes care of what your customers see, and you have the report for your client every day. You sell the cleaning; we supply robots, maintenance and technology.

When we advise against it

We also say what does not work.

Three sites where the honest answer was different from the request.

  • Not in the cleanroom.

The customer also wanted the robot in the cleanroom. It did not pass the tests, because the brushes touch the floor, and we said so. In production it keeps cleaning.

Technical fabrics maker in eastern Switzerland

  • Not the scrubber.

Foil and wood scraps clogged the scrubber. Since March 2026 only the sweeper works there: one robot fewer, but the right one.

  • Not without open answers.

Facility engineering asked what happens during a fire alarm, on escape routes and during a power outage. We clarified the questions with the manufacturer and also said what is not yet certified for this model.

Common questions about cleaning robots

  • A cleaning robot costs from CHF 1,500 a month, including setup, maintenance and reporting. The exact amount depends on the model and scope. Whether the robot pays off for you, we work out with your floor area after a walkthrough on site.

  • Setup on site usually takes one to three days: we map the floors, set zones and schedules and train your team. At a paint shop in Hegau, a cleaning robot was set up in about two hours. Buildings with several floors and an elevator take longer.

  • No. We set up maps, zones and schedules and adjust them when something changes at your site. Your team starts the robot at the push of a button or in the app, empties the tanks and cleans the brushes.

  • We check remotely first; often that fixes it without anyone driving out. If needed, a technician comes. In the morning, the report shows whether a run was interrupted. What that looks like in practice: a logistics hall mapped again, a replaced elevator circuit board, a new docking station.

  • We do. Maintenance and spare parts are included in the subscription. At large sites we review the runs per zone every month and adjust edge routes and schedules.

  • The robot takes nobody's job. It takes over the large, recurring floors, often where people are missing today. Your team handles corners, stairs, restrooms and what your customers see, and looks after the robot. At a hospital in the canton of Zurich, the customer said in September 2026 that the robot noticeably relieves the team.

  • Yes. On subscription you pay a fixed monthly fee, and we take care of setup, maps, maintenance and spare parts. Buying is also possible.

  • From about 1,000 m² of floor per working day, a robot pays off, according to the figures from our fleet (as of September 2026). Below that it saves hardly any hours, but it delivers a reliably clean floor every morning. We tell you so before the contract.

  • Yes. We schedule the runs for when the floors are clear, usually at night or after the last shift. In the morning, the report shows which area was cleaned and whether a run was interrupted. Your team empties the tanks and cleans the brushes, which takes a few minutes.

Every job your robots do is documented: which area, when, for how long. With Robonnement Intelligence, you ask for it the way you would ask a person.
