Cleaning robots in contract coating: a clean hall every morning

In 2025, a contract coater had its shop floor cleaned by a sweeping robot after the end of each shift. This summary replaces the original article.

A sweeping robot drives on a factory floor with yellow and black markings between machines.

In contract coating, sanding dust, overspray and abrasion are part of the job. Dust on the floor gets stirred up and, at worst, lands on freshly coated parts. After the shift there is no time to sweep, and outside cleaners are expensive.

So in 2025 the shop brought in a sweeping robot (MT1). We mapped the hall on site and scheduled the runs after the end of the shift so the floor is ready in the morning. The goal: employees should no longer have to sweep after their shift.

We could not confirm the figures in the original article, such as the cost reduction, and the services it described no longer match our current offer. The figure above shows what a sweeping robot achieves in the daily use of our fleet.
