Quality inspection

Every part inspected. Every inspection documented.

Today the eye often decides, and a complaint starts an e-mail ping-pong along the supply chain. An inspection cell measures every part and files the proof.

What we solve every day

An opinion becomes a measurement.

  1. What customers say: We argue about scratches nobody can prove.

What we do: An inspection cell measures every part and files a report.

View case: Camouflage Automotive, Heilbronn: inspection cell
  2. What customers say: The same part gets rated differently on two days.

What we do: A sensor measures every part by the same rule, every day.

View case: Carbon add-on parts paint shop in Rhenish Hesse
  3. What customers say: Transport damage or paint defect? We sort it out by e-mail every time.

What we do: A photo of every good part shows the condition in which it left the plant.

View case: Carbon add-on parts paint shop in Rhenish Hesse
  4. What customers say: Monday morning paints differently from Friday afternoon.

What we do: The robot repeats the same path, part after part.

What changes

  1. The robot measures every part

A KUKA robot guides a 3D scanner or a deflectometry sensor over the part. The camera recognizes which part it is.

  2. Good or not good, with a defect map

The result appears on the tablet at the rework station, showing the spot that is not right.

  3. A photo of every good part

Filed under barcode and part number, in the ERP or in the Part Passport. A report per delivery at the push of a button.

What we measure and how

Two measuring methods, one record.

Which method fits depends on your part: shape and position, or a glossy surface.

  • Shape, position, surface

    3D scanning

A 3D scanner on the KUKA robot captures the whole part as a point cloud. Our software compares it with the target and decides for every part: good or not good.

In our projects at Camouflage Automotive, Heilbronn: inspection cell

  • Glossy, painted surfaces

    Deflectometry

The surface reflects a stripe pattern. Dents, scratches and inclusions distort the reflection, and the software marks the spot on a defect map. Sensor: Micro-Epsilon.

  • Traceability

    Barcode, photo, Part Passport

Every part gets a barcode. A photo of every good part goes into the ERP, and the Part Passport cannot be overwritten. An AI agent answers questions like: where is my part?

  • Cell and safety

    Scan room and rework

A closed scan room, the rework room behind roller doors, SICK radar for safety. We plan the robot paths with our own software.

Pilot since June 2026

Every carbon part leaves the plant with an inspection report.

Whether a painted carbon part was good used to be decided by eye. A complaint was followed by e-mail ping-pong along the supply chain. Today a KUKA robot guides a 3D scanner over every part, our software decides good or not good, and the Part Passport records the result. Tablets at every station show where a part is right now. The software grew out of the customer's Excel logic, and our founder worked on site himself to build it.

Being commissioned

A measuring sensor that proves good parts instead of arguing about bad ones.

The same part could be rated differently on two days. Now a KUKA robot in a closed scan room guides a deflectometry sensor over every part. A barcode per part, a defect map on the tablet at the polishing station, a photo of every good part in the ERP. The customer's target: no more than six minutes per set, about 35 sets a day.

When we advise against

A furniture maker wanted a painting robot. We recommended an inspection station.

The parts were too long for the booths, and most defects came before painting: dents in foil-coated panels that nobody saw. A simple inspection station before and after painting finds them before any paint goes on (March 2026).
